Structure of a Business Plan
To develop a business plan there is no defined structure, but one can take your best guess according to your goals, but always ensuring that it will give order to the plan, and make it easily understandable for anyone to read it.
The following is a common structure, with all the parties should have a business plan:
* Executive summary: The executive summary is a summary of the other parts of the business plan, it usually includes a description of the business, the reasons for the project, distinguishing characteristics, competitive advantages, investment required and the project’s profitability.
* Description of business: This part describes the business and products or services will be offered, the objectives of the business or project, the main strategies for achieving those objectives, and basic business data such as name , business type and location.
* Market research: in the market survey describes the main features of the target, the main characteristics of key competitors, determine the demand forecast, and develop the marketing plan.
* Technical study: in the technical study indicated the physical requirements, describes the production process, infrastructure, business size, production capacity and plant layout.
* Organization: Part of the organization detailing the legal and organizational structure of the business, identifies areas or departments, positions, functions, salaries and information systems.
* Study of Investment and Financing: This part identifies the required investment (fixed investment, intangible assets and working capital), and external financing required.
* Study of revenues and expenditures: This part discusses the projections or estimates, including the sales budget, the budget will cash or projected cash flow and operating budget or profit and loss projections.
* Evaluation: and finally, in the assessment is developed to evaluate the project, determine the recovery period, and the results of the profitability indicators used.
